![]() More information about how Molina's Doctor Octopus fits into Spider-Man 3 - especially since the character dies at the end of Raimi's Spider-Man 2 - and whether his character gets a redesign will be revealed in the months ahead. Alfred Molina will reprise his role as Doctor Octopus in the MCUs Spider-Man 3, and no other actor could play the villain like he did. But whether they can actually deliver a movie that explains the multiverse, introduces MCU Peter Parker to other universes and tells a solid standalone story remains to be seen. So it's entirely possible that Marvel and Sony can create an exciting and compelling multiverse movie in Spider-Man 3. Neither Marvel nor Sony confirmed the report. The GWW's report further indicated Molina would be fully outfitted with Doc Ock's metal tentacles, and had begun filming action scenes while on set last month.
